Kitschy Kitchen Collection
In April, I wrote about Kitschy Kitchen Collectibles. This month, in July, I am featuring some of my favorite kitchen collectibles for sale!
Remember those fun cloth calendars that adorned our walls through the 1960′s and 70′s? My newly wed kitchen in the early 70′s sported a wall that was painted bright orange with avacado and yellow decorative items. Among them was always a colorful cloth calendar that marked the days for me. This 1967 Cloth Calendar was before I had a kitchen of my own, but is in great condition and reminiscent of those happy days.
Hand Egg Beaters were quite the efficient kitchen tool! This Ekco stainless steel egg beater is ready to serve again or be a kitchy decoration in a cottage kitchen.
Recreate that retro kitchen with these vintage crocheted potholders in gold, brown, orange and avocado trim, probably from the 1960′s 70′s.
From the 1930′s and 40′s comes this vintage meat tenderizer with marbleized “end of day” butterscotch color Bakelite handle. Genuine Bakelite is highly collectible and is crazy fun as an accent in a kitschy kitchen.
To top off this sale, we offer this Kitchen Collectibles reference book – 300 Years of Kitchen Collectibles!
Decorating “kitschy” can be fun and creative. Collecting “kitschy” is equally fun. Help yourself!
